The Top Ten Expensive Production Cars to Insure

As we all know insurance comes at very different rates, but there are some cars that take the cake when it comes to the cost of their insurance premium.  According to the results of Insure.com the most popular vehicle make on the list is the Porsche, which has four models in the list of ten.  Next is Mercedes coming in at second place with three models on the list.  The difference between the top spot and the tenth spot is only a mere $240 a year.  Any of these cars premiums could be enough money to buy you a third vehicle. 

The below rates are based on what a 40 year old male with a clean driving record would get for that type of vehicle. 

The top ten list by make, model and average premium:
